At Animal Rights Rescue, we believe every animal deserves the basic rights of food, shelter, and healthcare. Founded in 2025, our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate homeless dogs and cats from Mexico and place them in loving forever homes across the United States and Canada.
In direct partnership with ADAC in Saltillo, Mexico - led by the inspiring Alma Salinas - we share a united vision: to end suffering, promote compassion, and ensure every animal is valued and protected. Together, we're working to increase the number of animals rescued and adopted while providing support for ADAC through fundraising, social media, and outreach efforts. |

MEET TORMENTA!
Tormenta is an approximately 7-month-old kitten weighing 6.6 pounds. She is playful, loving, social, and adores human companionship. She also gets along beautifully with dogs, uses the litter box perfectly, and travels calmly in a carrier. In February 2026, during a cold rainy morning, a tiny crying kitten appeared hiding inside my car tire. She was dirty, sick, and only a few weeks old. I brought her home, fed her, and took her to the veterinarian the next day, where she tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV). Since then, Tormenta has been under treatment and doing wonderfully. She currently lives a completely normal life with no alarming symptoms. She simply takes vitamins and attends regular veterinary checkups to keep her healthy and monitored. We are looking for a very special indoor-only home where she can be the only cat. Dogs are perfectly fine, as FeLV is not contagious to dogs. Tormenta may have a diagnosis, but what shines the most about her is her sweet heart, joyful spirit, and endless love to give. BALOO IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!
Baloo is an approximately 5-year-old male Bull Terrier mix, weighing about 33 lbs, with a sweet, gentle, and loving soul. He has spent many years waiting in a small shelter, still hopeful that the right family will one day choose him. Baloo is very affectionate and truly enjoys human companionship. When he first meets new people, he may feel a bit nervous and hide, but it doesn’t take long before he comes out looking for pets, attention, and cuddles. He loves visitors, enjoys playing, and is happiest when surrounded by people who show him kindness. He gets along well with other dogs, children, men, and women. Baloo is not aggressive at all—even when other dogs bother him, he rarely reacts defensively. He is respectful at mealtime, waits his turn, eats outside of a crate, and never rushes toward another dog’s food. Baloo is potty trained for the yard and, when indoors, can hold it until he goes back outside. He knows how to use a crate, but does not like being confined—he becomes distressed and cries, so a home where he doesn’t need to be crated would be ideal. He does not yet know how to walk on a leash and gets very nervous during car rides, so he is transported in a carrier. With patience, time, and gentle training, he has great potential to improve in both areas—he is smart and eager to please. Baloo is terrified of fireworks and may chew on toys, sticks, or anything safe to help relieve stress or boredom. He can also be vocal when he’s hungry, but otherwise he is a joyful, playful, and funny companion. Overall, Baloo is a good, balanced, and charming dog—faithful, grateful, obedient, and full of love. He doesn’t ask for much: just attention, affection, and a chance at a better life. Baloo has so much love to give and is waiting for a family who will finally give him the opportunity he deserves.
